St. Charles Lwanga Jubilee Parish – Kamira, Diocese of Kasana-Luweero
Established in 2022, St. Charles Lwanga Jubilee Parish is one of the youngest parishes in the Diocese of Kasana-Luweero, Uganda. Formed from St. Bruno Sserunkuuma Kikyusa and Our Lady of Lourdes Nakasongola Parishes, it now brings together 4 Zones and 20 Sub-Parishes across Kamira — a vast, rural region blessed with deep faith but limited infrastructure.
Our mission is to grow as a community of faith and service — promoting Catholic education, spiritual formation, and social development rooted in Gospel values. Each project below responds to a real need in our remote area, transforming faith into action and hope into tangible results.Current Situation:
Families in Kamira rely on unsafe ponds for water, leading to frequent illness. Children, especially girls, walk long distances to fetch water, missing school hours.
With USD $10,000, the parish can drill a borehole and install a manual or solar-powered pump. Each project will include a trained local water committee to ensure maintenance.
The Project
Expected Results:
Clean, accessible water will improve health, hygiene, and school attendance. Each well will be a source of both physical and spiritual renewal — a reminder of God’s life-giving grace.📧 Contact: stcharlskamiraparish@gmail.com
