St. Charles Lwanga Jubilee Parish – Kamira, Diocese of Kasana-Luweero
Established in 2022, St. Charles Lwanga Jubilee Parish is one of the youngest parishes in the Diocese of Kasana-Luweero, Uganda. Formed from St. Bruno Sserunkuuma Kikyusa and Our Lady of Lourdes Nakasongola Parishes, it now brings together 4 Zones and 20 Sub-Parishes across Kamira — a vast, rural region blessed with deep faith but limited infrastructure.
Current Situation:
Many children in Kamira cannot afford Catholic education. Their families struggle with school fees, uniforms, and meals, and most have never experienced learning in a faith-based environment.
The Project:
With USD $120 per term, a sponsor ensures one child receives tuition, meals, and school supplies in a Catholic school. The program also supports teachers and catechists to integrate faith formation into the curriculum.
Expected Results:
Children will grow in faith, discipline, and knowledge. Catholic education will raise a new generation of responsible, God-fearing leaders who bring hope to their families and communities.
